Full Bucket Music has released SequencAir, a freeware step sequencer with a built-in virtual analog synthesizer. The product is available as a standalone application and a VST plugin for digital audio workstations on PC and Mac.

SequencAir is a virtual step sequencer with per-step controls for note, octave, velocity, gate, step skipping, and mute parameters, along with two freely assignable MIDI CC parameter lanes. These two lanes can be used to control any pair of parameters in an external MIDI-compatible instrument or effect. The interface layout is very simple and intuitive, making SequencAir a great starting point for users who haven’t used step sequencers in the past.
Sequencer lets you create beats on your tablet or desktop PC. The free version of sequencer comes with: - Variable length tracks supporting 16 to 128 steps - 70 sample sound pack with two octaves of pitch - 3-oscillator wavetable synthesizer with 12 waveforms - 35 synthesizer presets - Sample import (Limited to one in free version) - Three FX chains, each with Chorus, Echo. This software works on both Mac and PC. You could simply use commands on your computer to play notes and chords through the virtual keyboard. MuseScore can also be used to control other sequencing features within other applications, including auto-detection sampling and noise generation.

The plugin features sixteen sequence slots which can be chained together to form longer sequences. The sequencer can be synced to the host application or run in free tempo mode. There are multiple playback modes available, along with sequence transpose functionality. Also included is the swing feature for creating shuffled sequences. The plugin can save custom presets for later use and comes with a selection of factory presets to help new users get started with the software
In addition to the step sequencer, SequencAir also features a monophonic virtual analog synthesizer. The synthesizer module can be switched off if the user wants to use the sequencer for pairing with external plugins or hardware devices. The built-in synth follows the basic single-oscillator architecture with three waveform types (square, saw, noise), a resonant filter, a very simple envelope, velocity sensitivity, and portamento. Paired with an external delay effect, the synthesizer module can be used to create classic analog-style arpeggio sequences and basslines.
