Got a Fenix 5x Plus recently, have installed a few watch faces, and their settings get reset randomly. I can re-apply them by going into the Watch face settings in the Connect app, and just tapping on the 'Save' button at the bottom, and it will re-apply them immediately, but after a while they'll get reset again. The diameter of the Fenix 5X is 51mm so for anyone with small wrists, you may want to go for the Garmin Fenix 5S instead which has a watch face diameter of 42mm, much smaller in comparison and more suited for everyday fitness and sleep tracking.
If you own a Garmin fitness tracker, such as the ForeAthlete, Forerunner, Fenix or Vivoactive series, you can change the surface of the watch, the so-called 'Watchface'.

Deleting a Watchface on a Garmin Fitness Watch
- Connect your smartphone to the Garmin Watch by using Bluetooth
- Open the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone
- Touch the three-bar icon in the top left corner and then press the side menu relatively far down on 'Garmin devices' - select your fitness tracker
- Now select 'Connect IQ Apps' and then 'Watch Surfaces' - In the section 'Installed' you will see all installed watchfaces
- Tap on a watchface and in the next menu please select 'Uninstall'. - Finished!
The Watchface will now be removed from your Garmin watch and the occupied space is now free again. You now know the method to clear a watchface on a Garmin Fitness watch.
Garmin has a lesser-known app in the App Store and it often gets overlooked.

This will allow you to be different from everyone else standing at the start line and make you the envy of your running buddies. You'll even have them thinking your an amateur hacker.

How to install a Face-It watch face
1. Turn on your phone. Download the Face-It app from the App Store(iPhone) or Google Play(Android).

2. Open the app.
3. You'll be prompted to choose a picture from your phone's library. You can then choose whether you want the face to be analogue or digital.

4. Once you've chosen your design, hit 'Send to device'. Garmin Connect will automatically fire up and you need to sync the your device as normal. Note: You can also connect your device via USB to a PC and sync via Garmin Express.
5. Voila, you're customized.
We should let you know that Garmin universally opts for low resolution screens to help extend battery life when you're on your run. This means that you'll need to choose your image wisely, and have realistic expectations. Rather than choosing a portrait with a lot of depth and colors, choose a logo with a white background, such as a Chicago Cubs logo. Less is more in this scenario.
